Lovely place, lovely time.

An interesting thing happened to me last night on the way back from the fire ring.

I turned to look at that cute little troll in the soft light at trailside. I saw a glinting just behind the little guy. I thought: That’s strange.

I leaned in for a closed look and there was another troll now, just behind the first, with a giant dagger in his hand, poised with the apparent intent of arcing it down upon his unsuspecting mate.

I cleared my throat and he slowly moved the weapon down along his side and offered me a weak smile revealing a missing tooth – or two.  Apparently this one was a scrapper.

He doffed his little hat.

I did so in return.

Again, a beautiful place.
